“Studies suggest up to one in 10 patients on certain targeted or immune therapies develop some form of cardiovascular complication, and even mild heart injury can shorten lives years after cancer remission.”
The illustration shows the statistic of one in 10 hearts developing complications, using flower like forms (I referenced fuschias) to represent the life they lived after initial recovery. While most of the flowers appear healthy, one wilts and withers.
